Joe coached 39 years at Tri-Valley (1974-2013) in cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field, garnering numerous Western Sullivan League, Orange County league and Section IX   Class C & D  championships in all three sports.  He coached state individual champions Chip Furman, Theo Chewiwi, and Travis Wolfe as well as national medalists Ryan Loughney, Garrett Gray, Kristen Agnew, Joe Iatauro and Chewiwi.   He also crowned 14 individual boy champions in Section IX cross country at Bear Mountain.

Joe was the Section IX Boy’s Track and Field state chairman from 1984 to 2013 and the Hudson Valley Region Track and Field Coordinator for the Empire State Games from 1981 to 2010.
