Kate Laundau

A 1994 graduate of Tri-Valley High School, Kate is a five-time champion of Section IX  Class C cross country meets (1988-1993) and still holds the fourth fastest All-Time record on the Bear Mountain course (16:59.4) which she ran in 1993. Kate holds the Section IX record in 10,000M (35:25.78) set in 1993. Kate had a celebrated collegiate career at Georgetown University. As a five-time All–American, she finished second at the 1996 NCAA Division I outdoor championships in the 10,000M and third in the 5,000M at the 1997 NCAA indoor championships. The winner of the 2016 Portland Marathon, she is an elite U.S. marathoner today.
