A 1981 graduate of Monticello High School, Tracey was a 13 – time All-American at SUNY Cortland. She won five NCAA Division III titles: the 55 meters and long jump indoors, the long jump, 100M and 200M outdoors. She was inducted into the SUNY Cortland Hall of Fame in 2012 and the NCAA Division Track & Field Hall of Fame in 2014. She still holds five Cortland track and field records. Tracy was the 1980 New York State Champion in the 55M and in the 200M in 1981 New York State outdoor championships.
